Aspire Art Exhibition

To support and develop the teaching and learning across the Trust, Aspire chooses a  theme each year which helps to shape new activities and initiatives.

This year we chose The Arts and recently hosted Art Exhibitions in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, where we displayed artwork from all 6 Aspire schools.

The subject for the art work was 'Time Travel', with an environmental focus.

Throughout the year, children have been taught about various well-known artists and their styles, as well as how to use a wide range of artistic skills and media.

We wanted the children to be able to see a professional display of their work and be proud of what they had achieved, however it was extremely important to us that they enjoyed the process of being creative as much as, if not more than, the final outcome. This was definitely accomplished.

We were extremely impressed with the work the children produced, a local artist even commented how good the work was and that they couldn't believe the children were so young!

Thank you to Watford Museum and The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead, for their co-operation and support with both exhibitions and for sharing the positive feedback they received from visitors.

Very well done to all of the children and thank you, to the staff who helped to organise the exhibitions.
