Government Kickstart Scheme

We are proud to be supporting the Government Kickstart Scheme as a new employer.


What is it?

The Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion fund to create hundreds of thousands of high quality six-month job placements for young people.

How does it work?

We are offering jobs at all schools across Aspire, to people aged 16 to 24 who are currently claiming Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

We will be supporting them to develop transferable skills that are aimed at increasing their chances of sustained employment.

Training will be provided by DWP, for the employee to complete on the job. There will also be a coach assigned by the school, to assist with training and meetings with the DWP mentor.

What roles are available?

There will be a variety of roles available including Teaching assistant/MSA, Catering, Caretaking and Administrative (general office work, contact with stakeholders, finance and reception).
