The Grove Academy


Teacher – Early Years


Required for January 2018. Grade: MPS 1 – 6 (FTE £24,018 - £34,934)


The Grove Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic Early Years Teacher.


You will require a passion for teaching Early Years with an excellent knowledge of EYFS. The Grove Academy is a large 3 form entry school situated in Watford. You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic team who are passionate about creating a rich and stimulating learning environment.


The successful candidate will need to:

 

  •  demonstrate excellent classroom practice, including thorough and effective summative and formative assessment for learning.
  •  provide indoor and outdoor learning experiences that will meet the requirements of the curriculum.
  •  use a range of strategies for teaching and learning.
  •  be responsible for the effective management of children and staff, encouraging the children to develop their self-confidence, independence and learning behaviour
  •  assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with Statutory Requirements.
  •  maintain the confidentiality of school records.
  •  supervise the work of support staff who are assigned to work within the class.

Phase Leader


Required for January 2018. Grade: L1-L5 (FTE £40,458 - £44,546)


We are looking to recruit an ambitious, experienced teacher looking for an opportunity to take on the responsibility for the management of a designated phase, and be a member of our Senior Leadership Team. The preferred start date is January 2018, however a later start date would be considered for an applicant who is required to give notice from their current post.


The Grove Academy is a large 3 form entry school situated in Watford. You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic team, who are passionate about creating a rich and stimulating learning environment.


The role is class based with release time in order for you to be able

  •  To be responsible for the organisation, management and development of your respective phase
  •  To actively promote the school ethos at all times, within the wider context of the Trust
  •  To model high standards of professionalism for all staff
  •  To demonstrate consistently good or outstanding classroom practice
  •  To provide support and coaching where needed
  •  To challenge and address under-performance
  •  To trial key initiatives in class and feedback to SLT and the wider Trust
  •  To attend Senior Leadership Team meetings
  •  To lead mentoring team meetings and monitor planning and standards in your phase
  •  To take ownership for an aspect of the school vision
  •  To undertake additional curriculum or pastoral responsibilities as required

Bedmond Academy


Teacher – Early Years


Grade: MPS 1 – 6 (FTE £24,018 - £34,934)


Bedmond Academy which is a small, friendly village school requires an experienced practitioner to teach either Foundation Stage which is a mixed nursery and reception class or KS1. You will need to be motivated with a can-do attitude and positive mind-set. This is an exciting time for the school as we have just converted to an Academy joining Aspire Academy Trust which is a family of four close knit schools in Hertfordshire with a fifth joining in the very near future.
